AION 2 Class Tier List

Every class ranked by how often its characters reach the top 5% of their server's leaderboard, compared with how many characters of that class are ranked. 100 is a fair share; 150 means the class reaches the top 5% one and a half times as often as its numbers suggest.

About this tier list

What data is the tier list based on?
The official AION 2 Global leaderboards of all six ranked activities, overall and per class. For each server it uses the class and score of every ranked character and the number of ranked characters of each class. The score is the one the leaderboard ranks by: ranking points in the Abyss and both arenas, the best clear score in Nightmare, Transcendence and the Ascension Trial. Only the current leaderboards count; there is no history.
How is this tier list calculated?
On each server, the top 5% of the ranked characters of an activity are counted per class and compared with how many characters of that class are ranked there. The servers are then combined, weighted by their number of ranked characters, so every class is measured on the same mix of servers. A server is left out of an activity when its leaderboards are incomplete or too small for a fair count.
What does the index mean?
100 means a class reaches the top 5% exactly as often as its share of ranked characters predicts; 200 means twice as often, 50 half as often. It is not a damage or power number: a class at 150 is not 50% stronger.
How certain is the order?
The lists rest on 295,464 characters, out of at least 307,975 ranked characters. Each class has an approximate 95% band from 99,999 server resamples, calculated jointly for all eight classes and all 28 class comparisons; classes close to each other may swap places within that uncertainty. The bands assume the included servers are comparable, describe only those servers, and do not separate class strength from player skill, equipment, participation or party composition.
What does it not measure?
Leaderboards reflect players as much as classes: skill, gear, play time, party composition and how many people play a class all play a part. The lists show the current leaderboards only, without history, so they are a snapshot rather than a trend.
